This is little about myself...

I was born in Minnesota where we lived until I was 6 years old. We then moved to Vancouver Washington where I spent the rest of my school years growing up. I consider the Pacific Northwest to be my home. It is beautiful 365 days a year (as long as you like wet weather and a little snow every winter.)

After I graduated from Mountain View High School in 1992, I went to college at Gonzaga University. There I studied Electrical Engineering, while also maintaining my passion for music. Ever since I was in the 7th grade, I have sung in a Choir/Chorale. At Gonzaga, I was a member of the Nationally recognized "The Gonzaga University Choir". We rehearsed 5 days a week for at least 1 1/2 hours. It was a major commitment, but well worth it. I performed in many places, Salt Lake City Cathedral, St. Helena's Cathedral, St. Mary's Cathedral of the Emaculate Conception, and we were also invited to sing for the Music Educators National Convention in Kansas City, Mo. in the spring of 1996. There are many stories I remember from Kansas City, but let me just say that it was a "Pioneer"ing occasion, and the Phoenix club has excellent Jazz!

Back to my degree.... I studied at Gonzaga for 4 1/2 years to earn my B.S.E.E. Most of my emphasis while studying was in Digital Systems, and Computer Architecture and Design, needless to say I like computers. After my 4th year at Gonzaga (I had one semester left) I worked for the summer at a company in Beaverton Oregon called Credence Systems Corporation as a temp doing schematic entry and library development for their Integrated Circuit Design Group. It was a great summer, and they paid me more than any other previous job I had held

My last semester at Gonzaga was a great one! All I needed for my degree requirements was a total of eight credits. Philosophy, Religion, and Speech 101! So to make me a full time student I took some other courses including of course Choir. The one class I remember the most from that semester was the Photography class I took from Bill Kostelec. He was a great teacher and helped show me how to take great photos, of more than just scenic shots. I have put a few of my photos online here for you to enjoy.

I'm currently working for Credence Systems doing ASIC design. ASIC stands for Application Specific Integrated Circuit. I am having a lot of fun at work, and I like the people I work with and work for. I've been here now for one year, and I hope to be here for a long time.

Through a friend from College, I've gotten involved with a Virtual Charity. No.. it is real, but it only exists through the internet. It's called DeepRoots and they were started to help provide scholarships to needy children in some of the poorest countries. Currently they provide money for students in Namibia Africa.

I'm married to a wonderful woman named Shane Ball. We met here in the Portland area after I started at Credence. We got married on March 4, 2000! Visit our Photo Album to see some pictures from the wedding.

Since our wedding we bought our first house in Cornelius Oregon. It's a beautiful small town just outside of Hillsboro where I work. My commute every day consists of driving about 10 miles through lush farm fields and pastures. It's very relaxing and a definite improvement from trudging through the traffic of living closer to Portland.

My step-parent adoption of Samantha was finalized on August 17, 2000, And our son Jonathan was born on September 24, 2000. Which makes our little family of 4 complete.
